Van Lang Legacy Golf Journey 2026: A journey connecting sports, culture, and the spirit of Vietnamese heritage.
The “Van Lang Legacy Golf Journey 2026” will be held at Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club – the first golf course to operate within the T&T Group's golf ecosystem, and a destination deeply rooted in the culture of the ancestral land of Vietnam. This year's tournament will feature 100 golfers and will be played in a Stroke Play format, with a simultaneous Shotgun round at 12:30 PM. The organizers will award Best Gross, First Prize, and several technical prizes such as Longest Drive, Nearest to the Pin, and Hole-in-One at strategic Par 3 holes.
In the context of Vietnam's rapidly developing golf industry, increasingly focused on high-end experiences, "Van Lang Legacy Golf Journey 2026" attracts the golfing community not only with its professional quality and world-class playing space, but also by making its mark by incorporating national cultural elements into the soul of the entire event.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group, said that for many years, T&T Group has consistently pursued the philosophy of " World Excellence - Vietnamese Identity". In the field of golf, the Group not only invests in developing high-quality golf courses but also aims to create destinations with unique characteristics, contributing to promoting the distinctive values of each region.
Therefore, from the very beginning, Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club has been envisioned as a destination that brings together sports , culture, tourism, and the heritage values of the ancestral land. It is from this aspiration that the Van Lang Legacy Golf Journey tournament was formed.
“There is no more suitable place than the land of the Hung Kings to begin the Legacy journey. From Phu Tho – the birthplace of the Vietnamese nation – we aspire to build a tournament not only for golf enthusiasts, but also to contribute to spreading pride in Vietnam's culture, history, and enduring values,” shared Mr. Do Vinh Quang.
Inspired by the spirit of "Legacy"—a heritage inherited and passed down through generations—the tournament aims to honor the core values of the Vietnamese nation through the language of golf, art, cuisine, and distinctive local culture. This is also the overarching direction that Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club is pursuing: building a destination not only for sports and relaxation, but also a space that preserves and spreads the Vietnamese spirit in a modern setting.

This year's event also marks the beginning of the 2026 summer season at Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club, ushering in a period of significant transformation for the entire service ecosystem. Currently, the golf course has 18 internationally standard holes in operation, welcoming tens of thousands of golfers and visitors since its opening. Many key projects will be launched in the near future, such as the Son Tinh Clubhouse and a high-end hotel complex, aiming to complete a unique golf-resort-cultural model in the ancestral land of Vietnam.
In particular, as part of the tournament's activities, on the afternoon of May 31, 2026, a commemorative tree planting ceremony took place at Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club . This meaningful and symbolic activity contributed to completing the cultural space at the golf course, aiming towards sustainable development values, harmony between nature, people, and local identity. The commemorative tree planting ceremony was not just an environmental activity, but also profoundly expressed the spirit of nurturing enduring values, spreading the message of a green lifestyle, connection, and sustainable partnership that T&T Group and Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club are persistently building.
One of the course's iconic check-in points is the Signature Par 3 hole number 17, featuring a prominent flagpole amidst the hilly landscape. Here, the watchtower is modeled after the architecture of ancient Vietnamese houses and the residences of leaders from the Van Lang era, reflecting the rich local culture. From this vantage point, golfers can enjoy a panoramic view of all 18 holes and the course's overall architecture, creating one of the most distinctive and memorable viewpoints of the entire project.
In addition, the Three-Faced Buddha statue, carved from a single block of granite, is also one of the attractions that draws many golfers and tourists when visiting. With a height of 9 meters and a base width of 3 meters, the Three-Faced Buddha statue symbolizes peace, humanity, and the benevolent values in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. This is also a project that reflects the dedication and desire of T&T Group to spread these positive humanistic values to the community.
In recent years, the trend in golf development in Vietnam has gone beyond simply investing in infrastructure or service quality. Many operators are seeking distinctive values to make an impression on the domestic and international golfing community. With “Van Lang Legacy Golf Journey 2026,” Vietnamese heritage and identity have been chosen as the central elements of the entire experience, from the main concept to the organization.
Building an annual tournament with its own unique identity is also considered a strategic move by Van Lang Empire T&T Golf Club in its brand development journey. While golf tournaments previously focused primarily on professional aspects or networking, now emotional elements and brand storytelling are becoming core values to create a lasting impression on participants.
In its vision for 2030, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to develop golf as a high-end tourism product, a comprehensive cultural, sports, and tourism economic sector contributing to green growth, regional development, and national image promotion. With its distinctive positioning and culturally rich approach, the Van Lang Legacy Golf Journey is expected to gradually become an iconic annual event of the ancestral land, while also contributing to elevating the image of Vietnamese golf in a modern direction while retaining its rich national cultural values.
