T&T Group was honored with the "Aspiration for Contribution" award at the 2026 Contribution Awards.
This award further affirms the pioneering role of T&T Group in general, and businessman Do Quang Hien in particular, in contributing to and creating sustainable values for Vietnamese sports over the past several decades.
Affirming the pioneering role in the socialization of sports.
The Dedication Sports Award is part of the "Dedication" awards system organized by the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) - one of the most prestigious awards in the field of culture and sports in Vietnam.
With four important categories including Sports Personality of the Year, Sports Achievement of the Year, Young Sports Personality of the Year, and Aspiration for Contribution, the awards not only recognize competitive achievements but also spread humanitarian values and inspire the community.
The awarding of the "Aspiration for Contribution" category to T&T Group in the 20th Contribution Awards is not just an honor, but also a recognition of their persistent and consistent journey in line with their philosophy of developing sports for the community and the nation over the years.
It is no coincidence that the Dedication Sports Awards Selection Committee chose T&T Group for this meaningful category. In the context of Vietnamese sports transforming towards professionalization and socialization, the role of businesses like T&T Group is becoming increasingly important.
Throughout the process of forming and developing the business, and then investing in football and sports, T&T Group founder Do Quang Hien has clearly defined that engaging in sports is not for economic gain, but a social mission; and must always be thought of the nation with a spirit of selfless dedication. This philosophy is also reflected throughout all activities, from men's and women's football to other sports.
In particular, the presence of businessman Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of T&T Group and Chairman of Hanoi Football Club - the second son of businessman Do Quang Hien - at the awards ceremony, along with star players such as Do Duy Manh and Do Hoang Hen, was not only symbolic but also demonstrated the continuity between generations in serving Vietnamese sports.
“The Award for Dedication and Aspiration is a great source of motivation for us to continue to steadfastly pursue our strategy of investing in football and sports in a systematic and sustainable way, thereby contributing even more to the national teams and the overall development of Vietnamese sports,” the Vice Chairman of T&T Group shared after receiving the award.
A long and enduring journey with Vietnamese football and sports.
T&T Group was honored on a special occasion: the 20th anniversary of Hanoi Football Club, and the capital's team is the clearest evidence of T&T Group's enduring journey with Vietnamese football and sports. From a young team, Hanoi FC has risen to become one of the most successful clubs in Vietnamese football with 6 V-League championships, 3 National Cups, and 5 Super Cups.
But the greatest value that Hanoi Football Club brings is not just the trophies. It's a well-structured youth training system that continuously produces generations of talented players, forming the core of the national teams. Players who have emerged from Hanoi FC, such as Van Quyet, Hung Dung, Duy Manh, Thanh Chung, Hai Long, etc., have contributed to the miraculous runner-up finish at the 2018 U23 Asian Championship, as well as SEA Games and AFF Cup championships, and significant achievements on the continental stage. From a sustainable development perspective, this is the most important "legacy," a football ecosystem capable of self-operation, inheritance, and development.
If men's football is the foundation, then women's football is where the "humanitarian aspect" in T&T Group's strategy is most clearly demonstrated. When T&T took over Thai Nguyen Women's Club – a team facing dissolution due to lack of funding – they not only "saved" a team but also contributed to changing the entire ecosystem. Players' incomes increased 5-10 times, benefits improved, and a transfer market was established for the first time in Vietnamese women's football. From a broader perspective, this represents a shift from "nurturing passion" to "building careers" for female players, a structural change in Vietnamese women's football.
Beyond focusing on football, T&T Group also persistently invests in less-noticed sports like table tennis – where success doesn't come from media hype, but from perseverance and long-term strategy.
From the Hanoi T&T Table Tennis Club to the cooperation model with the Vietnam People's Police Sports Association, the T&T People's Police Table Tennis Team has quickly risen to become a leading national force, competing on equal footing with Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The SEA Games 2023 gold medal in the mixed doubles event, after a 26-year wait, won by Dinh Anh Hoang and Tran Mai Ngoc is clear evidence of the effectiveness of T&T Group's systematic and professional investment strategy.
Besides training and developing the national team, T&T Group also plays an active role in organizing and supporting major sporting events. This includes coordinating the ASEAN Police and Law Enforcement Football Tournament – a competition with significant implications not only for sports but also for diplomacy and regional cooperation. Another example is the Hanoi T&T Cup International Women's Football Tournament, which provides opportunities for female players to gain experience and improve their skills. Through these activities, T&T Group is contributing to making sports a cultural bridge and enhancing Vietnam's image internationally.
In particular, T&T Group's spirit of "dedication" is also demonstrated through its humane and widely impactful actions. At the second leg of the ASEAN Cup 2024 final in Thailand, Mr. Do Quang Hien decided to charter a private plane to bring the players' families, relatives, and a large number of fans to support the Vietnamese national team.
The image of hundreds of Vietnamese fans filling the stands of Jalamangala Stadium (Thailand) with red not only boosted the morale of the Vietnamese players but also became a beautiful symbol of solidarity, sharing, and faith in the national team.
"The desire to contribute" - the core value that makes a difference.
The biggest difference of T&T Group lies not in the scale of investment, but in its development philosophy. While many sports models still depend on short-term resources, T&T Group chooses a longer-term path: investing in people, systems, and sustainable values.
Even efforts such as assisting with the naturalization process for players – exemplified by the case of Do Hoang Hen – demonstrate an open mindset aimed at improving the quality of the national team.
"The desire to contribute" is therefore not just a slogan. It is a guiding principle that runs throughout, concretized by practical and persistent actions over many years.
The "Aspiration for Dedication" award given to T&T Group not only honors a business but also sends a broader message: sports need people who work with passion, vision, and social responsibility.
In the context of Vietnamese sports aiming for bigger goals at the continental and global levels, models like T&T Group are crucial foundations. They not only create achievements but also contribute to nurturing passion, inspiring others, and building a sustainable sports development.
And there, "the desire to contribute" is not the destination, but a journey – a journey that T&T Group continues to write, day by day, through its persistent and practical contributions to Vietnamese sports and society.
