Construction of Hoang Van Thu Kindergarten officially commenced on March 19, 2026, on a site covering nearly one hectare in the hometown of Comrade Hoang Van Thu, a prominent early leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese revolution.

After only five months of construction, the school was completed and officially brought into use. Its facilities include a childcare and education building with 10 function rooms, a dining block, an administrative block and supporting facilities.

The new school will accommodate approximately 300 preschool children in the area, helping improve the quality of education while providing them with a better environment in which to learn and develop comprehensively.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen said that, following proposals and recommendations from Lang Son Provincial Police, the Ministry of Public Security had mobilized more than VND 32 billion in social funding from T&T Group and SHB to construct Hoang Van Thu Kindergarten. Lang Son Provincial Police was assigned to take the lead in advising on and coordinating the project’s implementation.

The school was completed as quickly as possible, to a high aesthetic standard and in compliance with national quality standards. According to Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, the school is more than an architectural development: it is a symbol of compassion and responsibility and a meaningful gift reflecting the close bond between the People’s Public Security force and children from ethnic communities across Lang Son Province.

Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen expressed his hope that the school’s teachers would continue to demonstrate unity, responsibility and dedication to their profession, work with confidence, and care for their pupils as they would their own children.

He hoped the school would truly become a place where knowledge is cultivated, character is nurtured and future generations of students in the country’s border region are given the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Speaking emotionally at the inauguration ceremony, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy, Principal of Hoang Van Thu Kindergarten, said:

“Having this new school is a source of immense joy for our staff, teachers and pupils. Its modern and fully equipped facilities will enable teachers to enhance their professional work and organize more age-appropriate educational activities. At the same time, the school provides a safe and welcoming learning environment with more space for the children to play and develop.”

On behalf of the provincial authorities, Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Public Security and the project’s sponsors, T&T Group and SHB.

He affirmed that Hoang Van Thu Kindergarten was not simply a newly constructed school but also a symbol of solidarity, social responsibility, and the People’s Public Security force’s commitment to being “closest to the people” and “serving the people.”

Mr. Doan Thanh Son called on the school to maximize the effectiveness of its newly invested facilities, continuously improve its management, and enhance the quality of childcare, nutrition and education. He also encouraged the school to establish a child-centred educational environment that enables pupils to develop comprehensively in terms of physical health, intellect, skills and character.
